NEC announced in Japan the CRV43, a curved LCD monitor display designed for use in applications such as professional graphics, higher education, government, financial, command & control and home office.

The NEC CRV43 features 2880×900 double WXGA native resolution, LED-backlight, 10,000:1 contrast ratio, 200cd/m2 brightness, and 0.01ms response time. The display is in 32:10 aspect ratio and covers 100% sRGB and 93.3% Adobe RGB. The CRV43 has single-link DVI and HDMI 1.3 video inputs as well as USB 2.0 port. NEC will ship the monitor in July 2009 for $8,000.
