Amnesia The Dark Descent

Amnesia The Dark Descent
Amnesia The Dark Descent is an interative horror experience/game that is absolutely brilliant and terrifying. It’s not one of those survival horror games that focuses more on action, for it’s penumbra-like type of game. It will scare you out of your wits for sure, so better take my word, and don’t play this alone. The main character is just an average joe, who is not capable of doing nasty stunts and can lift a 2 ton truck. As stated in the press release…”We hope that the game will be a breeze of fresh air, in a genre otherwise populated by “one-man-army action hero” sagas. In Amnesia you are almost completely defenseless, something we believe not only makes the game a lot scarier, but also gives a vastly different experience.” Brought to us by, Frictional Games, the same people behind the mind-boggling horror game, Penumbra Overture, which put the “physics” of physics-based gameplay to good use in the game with remarkable efficiency. Expect to get a similar experience out of the Dark Descent. $18.

Worms Reloaded

Worms Reloaded
Game developers seem to forget the whole point in creating a game, it’s should be all about fun and entertainment. It’s a good thing that Team 17 is here to remind them about the whole idea of what a game should be, by bringing us the 2D strategic shooter, Worms reloaded. Worms Reloaded is the first 2D installment in the franchise to be released for the PC since Worms Armageddon, which received lots of praises upon its release in 1999. As such, Team 17 said that Reloaded will be a huge blast and a whole lot of FUN! Check this funny gameplay video i’ve uploaded for you guys, ENJOY!

TERA

TERA
TERA is the much awaited massively multiplayer online game from Bluehole Studio. Unlike the traditional RPGs, it features a non-Targeting battle mode, which means a player no longer has to target a certain monster to hit it, giving it a more realistic feel. Players have to aim and hit targets with ranged magic, weapon attacks, and can also dodge or and roll out of the way like what can be done in an action game. Take aim, take control, and take action! as per se. The game seems to be more skill-based, and less gear-based as it would appear, as most other MMORPGs out there. Let’s just hope that it’s free to play. Check out its latest video trailer!

Diablo III

Diablo III
With the successful release of Starcraft 2, it seems that we’ve forgotten that Blizzard is still working on Diablo 3. Diablo 3 was announced two years ago but still no confirmation as to when they will release the game. Well, let’s just hope that the game lives to its promises, for I’m sure that they will release it sooner than expected, hopefully next year. Diablo III is the much awaited dark fantasy/horror-themed action role-playing game. With the same elements of its predecessors, Diablo I & II, it will take you in the Sanctuary, the dark fantasy world that was saved twenty years prior by a handful of unnamed heroes in Diablo II. The game is powered by a new graphics engine that can display characters and hordes of monsters in more realistic, full 3D environments. The game is being planned for a simultaneous release on both Windows and Mac OS X platforms, sorry to console gamers. While no official release date has been announced, According to comments by lead developer Jay Wilson, the game will be released by 2012, but could be released as early as Q3/Q4 2011.
